Lake Tahoe Vacation Residence

Glenbrook, Nevada

Situated on the rugged east shore of Lake Tahoe, this house is lifted off the ground and supported by five concrete towers that appear to grow from the site's granite boulders. This house was designed in 1972 by Robert Swatt while in the office of Howard A. Friedman and Associates.

In 1994, the firm completed a guest wing addition to the original house which was recognized with an award honoring environmentally sensitive design by the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency.
