Greason Residence

Lafayette, California

Adding 1,350 square feet to a 1970's suburban home created an opportunity to transform the entire look and feel of this home with maximum impact from a few well-considered modifications. Design cues were taken from the existing architecture with vertical slot windows at the living room reappearing as new windows in the addition and as voids between three new garden walls. Removal of existing wood roof fascia boards and re-sheathing of the entire building in white sand-finished stucco unifies the building forms and completes the artistic transformation.
